The Capital City of Lithella is a fledgeling settlement by the known world's standards, however, since coming to the island, it has grown into a capital worthy of the effort its people and those who have migrated to the island can be proud of. Nestled atop a small hill overlooking the coast, her nearby harbour allows for trade and for travel too and from the island. Population at last Census: 42874 Number of Nobles: 107 Number of Peasants: 42767 Defences: Royal bastion is protected by a reinforced wooden Palisade wall with towers. The Main city is protected by a wooden palisade will with towers completely encircling the city. Gates are located on the Northside (Shipquay Gate), on the South Eastern point (Bastion Gate) and on the west side of the wall (New Gate - Was added after the walls were completed.) Troops: Royal Guard - 10 Soldiers, 1 Sergeant, 1 Captain. Garrison - 30 Bowmen, 80 Warriors, 12 Cavalry, 1 General, 2 Captains, 6 Sergeants. Ships: Two Small Trading Vessels with a crew of 24. A single military frigate with a deck mounted ballista. Crew of 30. Crewed only when needed. City Services: 2 Blacksmiths 1 Bowyer 5 Bakers 4 Tailors 5 Inns 2 Mills 1 Large Storehouse 3 Small Storehouses 3 Carpenters 1 Church 1 Apocathary 1 Small harbour City Districts: Royal Bastion - Located on the northeast side of the city the Royal Bastion features a small keep in the process of being converted from a wooden construction to a small stone fort. The district has a reinforced wooden wall with towers positioned along its lengths and a reinforced gatehouse door on the two entrances to the south and west. It houses many of the Major nobles and visiting guests and contains the Royal Guards Armoury, stable and quarters along with the dungeon. A small storehouse is present to supply the bastion with food in a siege as well as houses for the wealthier members of staff. Market Square: The hub of the city located on the north side of the city, outside the western gate of the Royal Bastion. People from all walks of life meet here to trade and to socialise and with the port, next door see's a lot of traffic. It features a large well at the centre providing fresh water and fire fighting capabilities. Garrison District: Located to the south of the Royal Bastion a wooden palisade separates it from the city on sides not surrounded by the main city wall or the bastion. This is the training grounds for the small army of the land. It contains a Bowyer and a blacksmith as well as officer housing and bunks for those without their own home. The Billows: The main population centre within the city walls. Contains the majority of the cities population and is home to the largest Inn within the city, the 'Crimson Rose' named somewhat ironically after the banner of the Lord who forced them to leave their home and sail to the island. Harbour District: Servicing the harbour it sits outside the city walls at the north gate. A small yet busy trade port it features two of the cities five inns, a brothel, a small market area for fish and sailing supplies as well as a small ship repair yard maintained by one of the carpenters. Outer City District: Outside the west and south gates lay a collection of houses surrounded by shacks. These are the less well off in the city.
